       A GIF is usually a short funny video only a few seconds that repeats.The GIF turned 34 this year,which makes it old in web history.That's even two years older than the World Wide Web.
       Ever since the GIF was created,it has long been overlooked(忽視).It is smartphones and social media that have brought it back to our daily lives.
       According to David McIntosh from the GIF search service Tenor,the GIF does better job of showing people's feelings than short text messages do. "Things like 'lol'(laugh out loud) aren't very expressive(有表現(xiàn)力的) he told Wired.
       The GIF is also a very small file format.This helped it become popular among cellphones users.
       Because of its popularity,Oxford Dictionaries named "GIF" the word of the year in 2012.

  • 3.There is song we all can sing March- of the Volunteers(義勇軍進(jìn)行曲).It was composed in 1935 by Tian Han and Nie Er as the theme song of the movie Children of Trouble Time(風(fēng)云兒女).It was taken as the national anthem(國歌)in 1949.

       Three students at Abertay University in Dundee,UK,are using ground-up(磨成粉的) crickets to make biscuits.They are trying to find more sustainable (可持續(xù)發(fā)展的) food sources to solve world hunger,reported Daily Mail.
       The students are using Thailand house crickets flour(粉末).About 1,100 crickets can make 100 grams of flour.The cricket flour is then mixed with eggs,butter and wheat flour(全麥面粉).Finally,it is baked to make biscuits
       Anja Siegharsleitner is leading the study.She said that insects are a lot more sustainable than other meats.
    Insects are easier to raise.They use less water and land,and produce less greenhouse gasses than cows and pigs.They also have more proteins (蛋白質(zhì)) than beef,chicken and pork.
       In fact,in a 2013 report,the United Nations called on more people to eat insects to beat world.Scientists have found more than 1,900 edible(可食用的)insects.Some of these include crickets,beetle(甲殼蟲),grasshoppers(螞蚱) and cicadas(蟬).
       People may not want to eat a whole cricket,said Siegharsleitner.But if it's hidden away in flour or biscuits then they may be more likely to accept it.Cricket flour is already for sale on the market,she added.
       "If we are seeking to feed 9 billion people by 2050,then we have to change our eating behavior." She said.
