2.Lately,I've been traveling around the world. No longer am I waking up far away from my home, tired from a late night of writing down the stories I collected the day before.Things are different now,and each day my travels begin like this:I sit down at my dining table, usually early in the morning or late at night when nobody else is awake, and I listen to the radio.
The radio station is always from somewhere that isn't here in New York, and most often it comes from a free-to-use website called Radio Garden.Move your mouse and maybe you will land in Bujumbura,Burundi;in Dibrugarh,India;or on the edge of the South Pacific.Seemingly no matter how large or small the broadcaster is,if it sends out a signal online,it can appear on the site and you can listen to it.
During the pandemic,Radio Garden, which is now available as an app,at times attracted as many as 15 million monthly listeners. "We received many heartwarming emails from people stuck at home expressing their gratitude for the service," said Jonathan Puckey, the site's founder.
Radio Garden began as a project of the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, where designers and computer programmers overlaid (覆蓋) station streams with their geographical locations on a 3-D map of the world. As a result, there is more than one way to transmit.Visiting a country like Colombia brought back memories of past trips - - romantic accordion music reminding me of bus rides on the rural roads.
Where will you visit first on the Radio Garden globe? For me,thrilling as it is to drop in on Ouagadougou or Ulaanbaatar or the Azores,it's all about personal history:I was born and raised in New York, but my family is from everywhere—Latin America, the Middle East, and places in between. My ancestors were merchants who traded in goods and cultures. Now,because of their wanderings, pieces of six languages still fly across our dinner tables. Thanks to Radio Garden,my family can cross planes of space and time without worry!

3.People do physical exercise as part of their healthy lifestyle to get stronger and healthier.
There are three basic modes of physical exercise:flexibility exercise helps the human body in general or its part in particular to be able to reach farther and bend better;aerobic exercise helps the body work hard for a long time;anaerobic exercise makes the arms and legs stronger.
It has long been known that exercise is not only good for your body, but also for your mind.According to researchers, gymnasts are more likely to be emotionally stable, football players the most outgoing and swimmers the happiest.
The psychological study, which was carried out by experts, also revealed that sports can also offer clues to a person's attitude to charity, reading habits and even their voting intentions.Boxers, for example, are most likely to focus on material possessions in life.Meanwhile, runners tend to be outgoing people who love being the centre of attention.Walkers,a group that includes those who enjoy wandering and cross-country races, are least concerned about other people and like doing things by themselves without interruption from others. Those who play chess are confident when they face challenges and trouble. Those who swim tend to be tidy and charitable. However, according to Mind Lab,61 percent of adults are fond of helping others regardless of their choice of sports.
The results from this study also show that no matter what kind of person you are, there is the right kind of exercise for you.
(1)Which of the following sports belongs to flexibility exercise?

9.閱讀下面材料,根據(jù)其內(nèi)容和所給段落開頭語續(xù)寫兩段,使之構(gòu)成一篇完整的短文。
On a recent Saturday evening,my wife,my son Jack and I were having dinner when we heard the sounds of a group of kids talking in the street, outside our home. Then out of the blue came two loud thuds (悶響) above our bedroom window, followed by the noise of laughter and lite kids running away down our street.
I turned on the external lights and rushed outside, unsure of what had caused the two thuds or what damage I could expect to see.The silence of the night was broken by the distant laughter of the neighborhood kids.At that moment I wanted to run after them. However, running barefoot on the road in the dark wasn't a wise thing.
The light above our garage helped me to identify just what had happened. Our home had been the victim of "an egg bombing"!Faced with the need to clean up this sticky mess,I was annoyed with the kids' bad tricks.I decided to remove the mess the next morning.
The next morning,I walked out to check the stains left by the two eggs, followed by little Jack with a book in his hand. "Where are the egg stains?" he asked.I soon found them and pointed to them. Two patches (小塊) of yellowish egg stains were on the wall above a large and wide metal awning (雨棚).Right below the awning was our front bedroom window. Our metal awning had a strong ability to protect this window from rain and other heavy things that could possibly fall down.
After I pointed to the egg stains,Jack angrily said, "Bad kids." Then,as usual,he walked to the bench below the front bedroom window and sat down to read his storybook.Jack liked reading there each morning. While Jack was reading,I carried a mop and placed a ladder on the front wall beside the bedroom window.I was ready to wash off the dry egg stains.I knew the task was challenging. My annoyance with the bad kids reached the level of the night before.Angrily,I climbed the ladder.Minutes later,I cleaned up the first egg stain.
