Winnie the Pooh is one of the most beloved characters in children's literature.Since his creation by A.A.Milne in 1924 Pooh, his best friend Christopher Robin and their companions- -including a donkey,a tiger and a kangaroo- have featured in books and films in over 40 languages.
There was one little boy, however, who eventually grew to hate the lovely bear. That boy was Christopher Robin Milne, the author's son and on whom Pooh's best friend was based.
Christopher Robin Milne was born in London on August 21,1920 to author Alan Alexander Milne and his wife Dorothy. As a birthday gift he received a teddy bear he named Edward. His new constant companion was about two feet tall, light brown and was always losing its eyes.A.A.Miline based Winnie on Edward, although the name itself came from a bear that lived in London Zoo at that time.
Of course,Christopher himself was a central character in his father's works. As a child,he took great pleasure from this, and even contributed to a few of his dad's stories.Things changed however, when Christopher went away to a boarding school and had to deal with the teasing from the other boys. Then he began to resent his father's fame and part he played in it.When he was 13,he learned how to box to defend himself against bullying from classmates.
While serving in the British Army during World War II,Milne came to increasingly dislike the books because he felt they exploited his childhood.
After his time in the army,Milne entered Cambridge University where he eventually graduated with a degree in English literature.
In July of 1948,Christopher met and quickly married Lesley de Selincourt. His mother however did not approve of the marriage,as she disliked the girl's family. She had hoped that her son would marry another woman, the daughter of her best friend.Because of this the mother refused to see or speak to her son ever again.
After their marriage the couple opened a bookstore which became very successful.Milne had to deal with enthusiastic Pooh fans at time, who would often present him with Winnie the Pooh toys to autograph or as gifts.Although he found these fans tiresome,he admitted they and his father's literary fame were very helpful for his business.
In the years before his own death in 1996 Christopher Robin Milne continued to express his annoyance with Winnie the Pooh, criticising what he considered to be the excessive commercialisation of the character through toys, computer games, movies and cartoons.

1.There was once a man who built his own house. From top to bottom,he designed and built every inch of his home.It took him over a year, but in the end,he had a beautiful house of his own.No other house in his neighborhood looked like it so that many of his neighbors admired it.
But as time went by,his house started to have some problems. One day,a neighbor said,"Friend,it looks like your front yard is a bit overgrown."
The man replied, "Yes,I know. But it's okay.I'll cut the grass tomorrow."
A few days later,a mailman came by with a letter for the man.The mailman said, "Friend,it looks like your windows are a bit dirty."

Weeks passed by.Finally, the man's brother came over to pay a visit. He took one look at his brother's house and couldn't believe what he saw.The yard was in a mess, the paint on the walls was falling down and the windows were covered with dirt. The house looked like it could fall apart at any second- all because the man didn't do anything until "tomorrow".
