I can well remember the day when I first learnt the English word "valley".I was five years old then and my mother was trying to taught me English words.When my mother pronounced the word "valley"，I tried over and over again，but it was too difficult for me to pronounce the v sound correctly，so I failed.I began to get angry and was unwilling to utter any sound any more.At that time，my mother just tried her best to encourage me to pronounce again.She told me that if I could keep trying pronouncing the word，I would succeed in the end.Nobody else could help me.Only I，myself could.So I did as my mother told me.I tried hard even if I was making mistakes all the time.But suddenly，I heard my mother cheer， "You did it，my boy!".It was persistence that helped me succeed.I was greatly moved indeed.
